Walking back from the edge: The aftermath of the 2012 Presidential Production Is One Of Ideology

Ok I’m back from the bridge.  There were a lot of people seemingly prepared to jump after Mr. Obama’s re-election for four more years sitting in the seat of the Presidency of the United States.  I, after having time to reflect and take several deep breathes the question that I have is, who didn’t see this coming?  As I reported in my article in February of this year, Obamanation Is Setting The Stage For Another Orchestrated Election, we have seen this played out before in Obama’s charmed political life.  He gets to run against no one from his party, so that he is unchallenged, and no real light or scrutiny is cast on him until he gets to the general election to face the opposition Party’s candidate.  And that Party’s candidate is either severely over matched by Obama, due to some anomaly, and or he runs a basically token opposition race.  Figuratively speaking,the supposed opponent goes to fight with an gun that is not loaded against a guy who’s willing to fire everything in his arsenal to win. In this election the Republican candidate’s gun still has the safety switch on.  Mr. O seemingly is operating from a different page of rules of engagement.

Mitt Romney was a flawed candidate when he quit, still without explanation, in the ’08 Presidential Race and he was more of a flawed candidate in this race.  First of all, of the Republican choices in the Primary he had the most loses in seeking political office.  He was only elected for one term as Governor of Massachusetts.  He won the Primary not due to his strong and provocative ideas for the nation’s future, vision for the nation, or dominating debating skills.  He won it because his pockets were deeper than the other guys.  Period!  And very much unlike Obama, rather than run to embrace the base of the Republican party – the conservatives to his right – he ran from it while giving it his middle finger.  The base never trusted nor warmed to Romney.  But most importantly Romney never took the gloves off, just as McCain chose not to do in the ’08 Elections, to hit Obama on his most glaring vulnerability – his character and a sever lack of an ethical compass.  Obama is a walking illustration of how to run the Office without morality, ethics, or the Constitution for that matter, as an obstacle to his objectives.   Romney never presented a clear distinction between him and Obama on the one thing that American people won’t excuse, even from the mightiest of sports icons, immorality and a blatant lack of honesty and character.  He was seen as Obama-lite.  It was more of a case of choosing between the devil known verses the devil unknown.  The citizens of the United States chose the devil known.

But this is symptomatic.  The fundamental issue of what is wrong with the Republican Party today as a whole that is growing like a cancer, at the federal level particularly.  When any individual from within the Republican ranks voices a strong conservative ideology, such as an Newt Gingrich, Michele Bachmann, Col. Allen West, or anyone who dares to present the opposition party, the Democrats, as what it truly is, a party with a  liberal-socialist ideology, they get taken to the preverbal woodshed and or be cannibalized upon.  Ever since Reagan, the Republican National Party has sought to have only the most non-Reaganist, non-conservative, that it could get away with representing it.  George H. Bush won only once because on his second run he chose to run to the left.  G.W. ran as a “Compassionate Conservative”, plus the conflict in Iraq and Afghanistan kept him in for a second term.  But since the Bushes, the National Republican Party has wanted to be more like the Democrats-to the left.

Contrast the Republicans to the Democrats who have chosen the most leftist man to be the face of its party, Barack Obama.  And it does so with no public reservations or shame.  The Democrats may have differences within, but they marshal behind what is its main objective, its main ideology, and that is to make Americans dependent on government, to be ever beholding to their Party, and to create a socialist society so it – Democratic Party – will be forever in power.  When was the last time you ever saw the Democrats demonstratively publically attack its own?  But, the Republicans do it seemingly at a drop of the hat, such as when Mr. Romney spoke about “the 47% Percenters” during the election or when Rush Limbaugh spoke of Mr. Obama being Santa Claus, one who seeks to give everyone gifts/benefits from the government.  The remarks weren’t debated or rebutted upon the basis of whether they were right or wrong, but that they were “insensitive”, not politically correct.  And it was not the Democrats coming at the Republican or Conservative with pitchforks and rope who made the comment, but other Republicans; Or so-called Republicans.  The Democratic/Progressives cannot defeat Republican/Americanism -a belief in basic Conservative American principles toe to toe in the arena of ideas.  That’s why they have to lie, deceive, and manipulate.

 

What brought me off the bridge, and what may bring many of you off the cliff, is to view the battle less of a political battle, Republican verses Democrat, Liberal or Conservative, but a battle of ideology – a battle between the Progressive, socialistic, or what Goldwater called governmental-paternalism, when the government provides the people with the basics and govern their lives.  That ideology verses the Americanistic, or Conservative, ideology of self-reliance, personal responsibility, and the belief in God.  The former denotes a position of weakness, dependency, and an economically impoverish consciousness.  While the latter denotes a position of strength, independency, and an economically resilient consciousness.

As I reported in my September article, This Year’s Election Will Be between Those Who Cherish Personal Freedom and Morality, and Those Who Do Not, “The ultimate choice is that of the U.S citizens and the American people whether we believe that rights and freedoms is the venue of the government or of the people.  Whether we are to be destined to live within the plantation of the collective mind or free to prosper or fail limited only by one’s own dreams and choices as free-minded individuals.  Or whether we reinvigorate our uniquely American belief that our rights come from God and not from man and that it is we the people who give life to the government and not the government that gives life to the people.” It really doesn’t matter what actors are put before us to represent the supposed Parties, it comes down to who speaks to the ideology that rings truest to the voter’s hearts – whether it is freedom or paternalism.  At the end of the day it is up to us to decide.

O’s Rock Star Production Is Fading Under The Serious Lights of This Campaign

The most recent Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll shows Mitt Romney at 49% of voters nationwide and President Obama is at 47%.  My question is what are these 47% liking in O that he has earned or deserves another 4-year term to sit in the chair of the President of the United States that the rest of us are oblivious to?  Sir Winston Churchill said once that, “The best argument against Democracy is a 5 minute conversation with an average voter.”  He may have well been speaking of today’s political climate.

It is my sincerest belief that the election of Mr. Obama was not an election of a president or a leader by the citizens of United States, but a very attractive and articulate celebrity, a rock star; who also happened to have been also Black.  I can’t recall a time when I have seen the President’s face on so many entertainment magazines, t-shirts, coffee mugs, and entertainment shows, such as the Daily Show and the View. All this while the nation, and the world, is in crisis.

Barack Obama, got elected four years ago to be the president of the United States, after not even completing his first term in the Senate and without many voters knowing hardly anything about him personally, philosophically, or politically. They knew he was a democrat; he looked good on camera, intelligent, and spoke well – especially with a teleprompter.  The voters of the United States wanted to give “him a chance”- the first true African-American, as though he was applying for managerial position at a Denny’s Restaurant.  But since getting into office he seems to be unable or unwilling, to tell the truth or be straight with the American people.  He came into office with a cloudy past that includes serious communist  and  radical liberal affiliations.  He promised that if the “Stimulus Bill” was passed unemployment would not raise pass 8% and would create over 3 million jobs.  Since the bill’s passage unemployment has hit a 25 year record high, negative job creation every year, and if the underemployed and those wanting full time work but having to settle for p/t work were counted, the rate today would be an astonishing 14.5%.  He rammed through Obamacare without any bi-partisan input promising that it would improve and lower the cost of healthcare without raising taxes on anyone earning below $250k yearly income.  But according to the Americans for Tax Reform, Obamacare will clobber every U.S taxpayer and business owner with taxes and regulations that this nation has never imagined. According to the Heritage Foundation Obamacare will end up costing millions of jobs and cripple the nation’s employment environment. Also, according to U.S Daily Review the law will not improve healthcare at all, but drastically reduce quality and access.

Mr. Obama is up to his crown in concealing and lying blatantly to the American people about Fast and Furious, that involved covertly flooding gangs in Mexico with American guns that have killed untold numbers of Mexicans and at least one U.S Border Agent.  He has also played a significant role in the sacking of the strongest and largest American friendly Arab state, Egypt, and an Arab nation that was no direct threat to America, Libya.  Both interestingly kept a lid on the extremely radical Islamic group the Muslim Brotherhood.  But more recently with another “spontaneous uprising” in two Muslim Brotherhood-led countries of Libya and Egypt due to obscure YouTube Video defaming the Prophet Muhammad that caused the slaying of the U.S Ambassador to Libya and three Marines on September 11th.  But rather than admit that the attack in Libya and on the Ambassador was a planned military attack by Al-queda he has set to conceal the truth of what actually happened, how it happened, why it happened, and blame America for our freedom of speech that allowed this obscure video to be made.

So who are these 47% of the U.S populace who still favor a man with such a track record who now wants to have another 1,460 days to “fundamentally change” America even more?  Governor Romney may have had it right when he stated in September that, “there are 47 percent who are with him, who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe the government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you name it. That, that’s an entitlement.” And the government should give it to them. And they will vote for this president no matter what.” Obama seemingly panders to the lowest intellectually politically initiated in the nation and dreams of a nation of dependency, both domestically and internationally.  And it is only with the blessings of the Establishment Media, with his expansive rock star production, coupled with this nation’s extreme culture of celebrity worship does his blatant verbal manipulation and deception goes mostly unabated.

But in a Democracy it is only as sturdy as the political aptitude of the least of our fellow citizen.  Unfortunately these seem to be Mr. Obama’s targeted group for supporter. Thomas Jefferson may have stated the answer to what ills the nation today when he said, “Educate and inform the whole mass of the people… They are the only sure reliance for the preservation of our liberty.” It does appear that many of the rest of the nation are truly beginning to listen with our ears and see with our eyes.  We are beginning to hear that he says nothing, that only his lips are moving as someone else tugs at the strings, and that he is standing naked before us. We are becoming initiated to become more responsible for ourselves and wanting a better nation for our posterity.  May the hands of Providence gently lie upon us all.

The voters who blindly married Obama in 2009 should be beginning to believe the rumors.

In my many discussions with people who supports Mr. Obama fervently it is much like trying to convince a guy that his wife is cheating on him.  No matter if his best friends were to show him pictures of her naked with her head planted between a guy’s legs, with her one of a kind tattoo visible clear as day, he sternly denies that it is her.  But there are just somethings that cannot be argued away with one’s more than bizarre behavior and actions no matter how much he would like to believe in his heart the contrary.  With so many people telling you similar stories of her deceit, infidelity and treachery they can’t all be lies.  Such is the case with Mr. Obama.

Many U.S voters casted ballots for Obama on an extraordinary binge of emotional ecstasy of the promise that he would be “the one” who would be the most honest, the one who would take care of home, have all those mean neighbors love us, bring prosperity to the home, and most of all be faithful.  Life with him would be THE BEST EVER!  He was the DA ONE!  Right?.

But the actions that he has demonstrated since taken his vows, even with the retake, leaves his words and promises hollow and in serious doubt.  He would want us to believe him when he presents himself to be of America and loves it beyond all overs, but his mother raised him mostly in foreign Muslim lands, in private schools,  and emersed him in socialist/communist values and cultures. He didn’t actually step foot on the continental United States until he entered college. And according to his own book, “The Dreams from My Father”, Obama’s childhood mentor, referred to as “Frank”, was Frank Marshall Davis, a big time communist.  Hum!

Ever since gaining the seat as president of the U.S he has adamantly professed to want a strong economy for the U.S, yet he first saddles the American people with more debt than that of the total all of the former Presidents with the “Stimulus” Bill and the greatest transfer of the private economy to the government with Obamacare since the Social Security System was enacted. He has virtually shut of domestic oil drilling on government lands and waters. With his onerous regulations that has drained the nation’s economy, according to 10/2011 Bloomberg.com article, an estimated $100 million to $4.1 billion.  And he has exacerbated the issue of illegal immigration of Mexicans, and other low-skilled foreigners, by 20 times to more expeditiously worsen the employment and economic plight of the under-educated and low and middle class youths and adults who are legal citizens. And oh, he has before publicly stated that his favors tried n true wealth creating plan of  wealth redistribution, more than once.  Remember the “Joe the plumber” incident when he was candidate Obama? Humm!

And  now after taking the lead in sacking two prominent neutral and extremely American-friendly Arab countries, Libya and Egypt, and looking to sacking another big sovereign state, Syria, to make way for the extremely Islamic radical and anti-American  Muslim Brother, while giving the bionic stiff arm to the one true democratic nation in the region, Israel, he wants us to believe that the current eruption in the Middle-East is again both spontaneous, emotionally initiated by some benign event, and that the U.S was taken completely by surprise and the events were unanticipated?  Really?!  Are we as a nation still to believe that Mr. Obama really took his oath, seriously?  Are we as a nation to believe through Mr. Obama’s actions and with all of the rumors swirling about him of his utter contempt and disdain for America, it’s history, it’s values and traditions, and it’s dominant place in the world, so much that an actual top-rated box office movie documentary has been made of him, 2016 The Movie, are all lies?  Really?  Is there an foreign adversary leader that he has yet to bow to, figuratively or actually?

At some point the husband looking at the picture of his wife/spouse with her face planted in the crouch of another guy can no longer be simply excused with her denial that it wasn’t her or that she accidentally tripped and fell into that position.  All of the rumors revealed by friends and strangers of her deceitfulness and infidelity are all not liars and haters.  The question that you should be asking is what else has she been lying to you or deceiving you about.  And can you soon divorce yourself from her to start anew applying higher standards?  Or become resign to the fact the you may one day see that one of a kind tattoo on a amateur porno website and your priceless family jewels on the shelves in the home of a hated neighbor.  This is what we as a nation faces should we chose to continue with someone like Mr. Obama as president.

This year’s election will be between those who cherish personal freedom and morality, and those who do not.

If the Democratic National Convention tells even the most passive political observer is that there’s very stark visual and psychological contrast between the visions that the Democratic Party and the Republican Party have for the nation.  I would argue like in no other time since the 1868 conventions have the views between the two main political parties been presented so distinctly.  At its 1868 national convention, the Democrats were fervent supporters of the suppression of rights and freedoms of the Black American so much that it had the Grand Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan as its leader and the Republicans were as fervent in supporting the rights and freedoms of the American Blacks.

This year the Democrats kicked off their convention by openingly declaring that it is the people who belong to the government.  Its platform was initially absent any reference to God.  And they featured an ex-president who was impeached for lying to the Congress and the American people and once said that, “The purpose of government is to rein in the rights of the people.” and  called the Constitution and the Bill of Rights “radical” and called for the limiting of personal freedoms in saying, “When we got organized as a country and we wrote a fairly radical Constitution with a radical Bill of Rights, giving a radical amount of individual freedom to Americans, it was assumed that the Americans who had that freedom would use it responsibly…. [However, now] there’s a lot of irresponsibility. And so a lot of people say there’s too much freedom. When personal freedom’s being abused, you have to move to limit it.” They featured San Antonio Mayor Julian Castro as keynote speaker whose mother is closely tied to La Raza Unida, a radical Mexican civil rights group who supports unabated ill-legal Mexican immigration, reportedly said that the truth behind the Battle of the Alamo was taken by “a bunch of drunks and crooks and slaveholding imperialists who conquered land that didn’t belong to them.” They topped the convention cake off  by featuring Barack Obama who voiced his great disdain for governmental limitations once said, that the Court [Warren court] failed to “break free from the essential constraints” in the U.S. Constitution and launch a major redistribution of wealth.” And has done everything in his ability to not be constrained in such a manner.

The constant theme of the Democrats was that big government is the answer to all things and the freedoms and rights of the individual and his property is to be subordinate to the wants and the benefit of the society as a whole; that those who chooses to be responsible for themselves and actions are to be required to be responsible for those who chose not to be such.  The whole DNC certainly had a collectivist undercurrent to it.  Even the Obama slogan “Forward” has a significant socialist connection – it was a slogan first used by none other than Karl Marx himself.  Coincidence?  Right!

I am not by any means saying that the Republican Convention was perfect.  But, I am saying the vision from the Republican view was one of youth and vigor, high standards, prosperity, national unity, independence, freedom by taking responsible for one’s actions – whether it is a nation or as a people, and above all a genuine love of God and THIS country.  The ultimate choice is that of the U.S citizens and the American people whether we believe that rights and freedoms is the venue of the government or of the people.  Whether we are to be destined to live within the plantation of the collective mind or free to prosper or fail limited only by one’s own dreams and choices as free-minded individuals.  Or whether we reinvigorate our uniquely American belief that our rights come from God and not from man and that it is we the people who give life to the government and not the government that gives life to the people.

Condi’s Convention speech echoes warnings from the past of America’s self-destruction

At the 2012 Republican Convention former U.S Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said in her speech, “There is no country, no not even a rising China, that can do more harm to us than we can do to ourselves if we fail to accomplish the tasks before us here at home.”  That got me to thinking of some other prophetic statements regarding America’s self-destruction spoken by others in the past such as, “If America is destroyed, it may be by Americans who salute the flag, sing the national anthem, march in patriotic parades, cheer Fourth of July speakers – normally good Americans, but Americans who fail to comprehend what is required to keep our country strong and free, Americans who have been lulled away into a false security.”,  Ezra Taft Benson;  “If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their money, first by inflation and then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them (around the banks), will deprive the people of their property until their children will wake up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.”, Thomas Jefferson;  “If we lose freedom here, there is no place to escape to. This is the last stand on earth.” and “Nations crumble from within when the citizenry asks of government those things which the citizenry might better provide for itself.” President Ronald Reagan;  “If you establish a democracy, you must in due time reap the fruits of a democracy. You will in due season have great impatience of the public burdens, combined in due season with great increase of the public expenditure. You will in due season have wars entered into from passion and not from reason; and you will in due season submit to peace ignominiously sought and ignominiously obtained, which will diminish your authority and perhaps endanger your independence. You will in due season find your property is less valuable, and your freedom less complete.” Benjamin Disraeli;  and “The American Republic will endure, until politicians realize they can bribe the people with their own money.” , stated by Mr. Alexis de Tocqueville.

What all of these prophetic statements speak of is America’s greatness as well as its curse.  Our nation was established with the greatest of intentions, that is to have codified in our foundation that man is to be governed not by man, but the Creator’s endowed rights to his life, his liberties, and his pursuit of happiness to be limited only by his equal respect to the same of that of the other citizen.  Our nation has an abundance of natural resources, natural gas, oil, coal, and precious minerals.  With our great nation’s unique  freedom to achieve to our wildest dreams and aspirations, we too have freedom to give in to our lowest desires and weaknesses.  We can be the greatest of people who continually look to achieve greatness and not settle for mediocrity, to become the best educated on what responsibilities are borne by our cherished freedoms, to live within our means, and take ownership of our decisions – successes as well as our failures – or we can be a people who celebrate the lowest of ourselves and cherish a life of triviality, be all too willing to exchange our birthrite of individual liberties and freedoms for the promise and illusion of government-provided security and social utopia – whether it is as a nation or globally – to look for others to be the creditors and bearers of our ill-temperance and irresponsibility.   If you take inventory of this nation’s situation today, you would realize that many of the prophetic warnings went unheeded to our detriment.  But it doesn’t have to be our nation’s future.  At the end of the day no one or no nation can defeat us, but ourselves.

Another of my favorite quotes that come to mind was said by Thomas Jefferson, “If a nation expects to be ignorant and free … it expects what never was and never will be.”  And nor should it.
