It’s A Time For Choosing

Today the Citizens of the United States go to the polls to choose their leaders in their State Legislatures, the Congress, and most importantly, the President of the United States.  It is the most pivotal in recent history, in my humble opinion, for it will more likely determine the direction of the nation for the foreseeable future – whether to move forward with an America-First vision, with strength and reverence for our nation’s founding and Founders, or an America-Last vision, with weakness and moral flaccidity and disdain for the nation’s founding and Founders.  Either way, it will be the people of America and the United States to choose.

Future historians will look back at this period and wonder how did we get to this place.  But, then they will look further back and read some of what our Founders warned, such as Benjamin Franklin said of our government, “I agree to this Constitution … and I believe, further, that this is likely to be well administered for a course of years, and can only end in despotism, as other forms have done before it, when the people shall become so corrupted as to need despotic government, being incapable of any other.”  What Abraham Lincoln prophetically said of how he saw America’s destruction, “At what point, then, is the approach of danger to be expected? I answer, if it ever reaches us, it must spring up among us. It cannot come from abroad. If destruction be our lot, we must ourselves be its author and finisher. As a nation of freemen, we must live through all time or die by suicide.” And James Madison when he warned of an unchained government “If Congress can employ money indefinitely, for the general welfare, and are the sole and supreme judges of the general welfare, they may take the care of religion into their own hands; they may appoint teachers in every state, county, and parish, and pay them out of the public treasury; they may take into their own hands the education of children, the establishing in like manner schools throughout the union; they may assume the provision of the poor…. Were the power of Congress to be established in the latitude contended for, it would subvert the very foundations, and transmute the very nature of the limited government established by the people of America.”  There were many Founders who saw the frailty of this great nation, its weakness, as well as the greatness of human nature, to be like the new parent who has to send their child off into the wilderness for the first time alone in order to grow, with full knowledge of inherent challenges, wonders, and dangers that the world will present.

The most passive observer of age would have to question what is the question about.  He would see the answer as so obvious.  He would see the choice as one not of perfect Men, for we are ALL fallen and corrupt, but a choice of the closest to what is good as it applies to our traditions, customs, and culture.  Kamala Harris is far removed from this qualification.

Kamala Harris’s upbringing was one of a Socialist at best, and a Marxist at worst.  Her work, while she was in the Californian political arena, should give us all grave concern if she were to ever grab hold of the office of the Presidency of the United States.  And while Mrs. Harris, and the Media, want to have the masses focus on Trump’s supposed endorsement of Project 2025 of the Heritage Foundation, she dares not have any light shinned on her endorsement of the radical Socialist Democrats of America and their desires to “end minority rule” by getting rid of the Senate and the Electoral College, defund the police, wants the government to pay reparations to Black people, “extend and expand sanctuary protections across the U.S.” and “end environmental racism, “reproductive justice for all” (i.e., abortion) and a “guarantee of queer-friendly and gender-affirming healthcare”, and much more that would keep many of us awake at night, if we were politically awake during the day.

It needs to be remembered that since 1960 til now the Democrats have controlled the White House all but 24 of those years.  That is a lot of time to mold the nation via the growing ever-powerful  Executive Branch.  And also, as the Media wants to make Kamala innocent and new, when she is virtually unknown to the American people and the Citizens of the U.S., Trump has had nearly every cavity of his life exposed to the populace, whether fact or fiction.

This election period is unlike any other in recent times when the legacy News Media Complex is unabashedly promoting one political Party, and it is overtly Socialist and arguably anti-American.  This coupled with 60-plus years of the federal reconstruction of public education that has left a populace less unable to critically think to be independent of the chains of the government and to have knowledge of what makes this nation, not perfect, but exceptionally great, is the only thing that makes this election a choice today that it could not have been some 20 years ago.
